Home Education Centre, Chard - a voluntary group developed and run by home educating parents. It is a learning centre and meeting place for families from a diverse range of social and cultural backgrounds to share skills, advice and support. The Home Education Centre also works on developing relationships with the local authorities and colleges, so they may better understand the home educating community.

Taunton/Oake area - meetings at Oake Village Hall on the first Tuesday of each month in term time, 11.30am - 2.30pm , plus occasional outings to museums, bowling, walks.

North Somerset Home Education Group - Weekly children's gym, walks, outings etc. Wells Swimming Group - meet weekly for swimming at Wells Leisure Centre, term time only. HE Social Group, Yeovil - For resource exchange & idea swap. Childrens activities are available, but the emphasis is on parent contact and exchange of ideas, while the children have free interaction with others.
